Duties | |
AusAID’s Media Officers provide professional media advice and management in support of the agency’s wide-ranging program and communications activities. Reporting to the Director, Media and working as part of a team within the Communications and Media Branch, media officers are involved in both day-to-day reactive and ongoing proactive media issues management. The role is busy and challenging, and suited to a communications professional with media experience, ideally in a government context. The role requires the ability to work with limited supervision in a high pressure and ever-changing environment. Some travel at short notice may be required, as well as both rostered and on-call after-hours duty. | |
Eligibility / Other Requirements | |
Applicants must be Australian citizens. This is a security assessed role and you will be required to either have, or be able to obtain, a security clearance at Negative Vetting 1 level. Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term for 12 months. | |
