Senior Lobbying Position in Retail Banking ESBG

The European Savings Banks Group and the World Savings Banks Institute, located in Brussels, are looking to fill a Senior Lobbying position in retail banking.

Main tasks:

• Providing members with information and background about policy and regulatory issues in the field of banking, particularly in the field of saving/retail banking and coordinate the preparation of lobbying positions
• Organizing and coordinating the lobbying initiatives to support and promote these positions with E.U. Institutions and stakeholders
• Maintain close contact with member organizations and their affiliated institutions
• Maintain close relationship with international organizations with particular regard to the European Union
• Represent the ESBG/WSBI in assigned areas
• Supporting the Management and Board in the definition of the lobbying strategy of the organization and its implementation
• Managing a multicultural team of close to 4 professionals

Profile:

• An in-depth knowledge of E.U. policy and decision-making procedures with a relevant network and relevant experience (minimum 5 years)
• A degree in economics or European law
• A good understanding of the financial services likely the saving/retail banking sector
• Strong writing, analytical, convincing, networking and motivational skills
• Excellent spoken and written English: a good command of other languages in particular German is an asset
