DEPUTY DIRECTOR: FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Salary: R434 505 per annum (all-inclusive package to be structured in accordance with the rules for MMS) (Level 11) (Ref. S8/3/2012/22)
Requirements: • Appropriate recognised 3-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, coupled with 3-5 years’ experience preferably in the Built Environment • Appropriate experience in the Public Sector • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Government Immovable Asset Management Act (GIAMA), Basic Accounting Systems (BAS), Treasury Regulations and Occupational Health and Safety Act • Computer literacy • Sound written and verbal communication skills • Planning and organising skills.
Duties: • Provide effective Facilities and Office Management Services in the Department • Manage day-to-day maintenance of facilities • Manage the procurement of office accommodation for National Office and Provinces • Manage office allocation and space planning at the National Office • Manage parking facilities, contracts and allocation at the National Offices • Manage telecommunications and courier services contracts • Assist in the development of Facilities Management policies and procedures • Manage the Facilities Management budgets • Ensure the quality control of workmanship and material by means of inspections and corrective action.
