Background / General description: | |
IFC’s EMENA Infrastructure and Natural Resources Department (CN3) is seeking to recruit a Research Analyst to assist in (i) the tracking and reporting of IFC's Development Goals; (ii) monitoring sector/regional developments and keeping CN3 management informed of these developments and potential impact on the portfolio; and (iii) management of operational risk. The chosen candidate will be based in Istanbul or Dubai and have a primary reporting line to the EMENA Infrastructure & Natural Resources Portfolio Manager. | |
Duties and Accountabilities: | |
• Assist Investment staff with the tracking and reporting of IFC’s development goals (DOTS, GHGs, etc) • Conduct analytical research for various Infrastructure and Natural Resources markets, sectors and companies • Assist CN3 management in the analysis of regional/sector trends and impact on the portfolio as well as new business activities • Gathers metrics, data and inputs to support the strategy process and measure/track progress of strategic initiatives • Prepare management briefs, reports, presentations and sector updates • Assist in quality control of documents and management of operational risks • Update and maintain internal databases • Other tasks that may be assigned | |
Selection Criteria: | |
• A relevant advanced degree (preferably Economics, Business or Public Policy) • Three years of relevant professional experience, preferably in an international environment • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English • Experience with Infrastructure and Natural Resources sectors is a plus • Strong analytical and conceptual skills • Strong computer skills, including spreadsheet work and preparation of power point presentations • Strong team skills with the ability to work across organizational boundaries with ease | |
