Job Purpose
This role will develop an HR Business Partnership within Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium by providing a consultancy service to line managers in the areas of people management and development, resourcing, selection, employee relations, local employment regulations, Industrial / trade union and employee relations and Corporate HR processes and procedures.
Requirements
You must possess:
  • Degree from a recognised university or equivalent professional qualification (diploma in Personnel Management /CIPD / related HR qualification or Aviation experience will be an advantage)
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, employment law and regional labour legislation inGermany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium
  • HR generalist with at least 10 years experience with successful delivery of IR negotiations and agreements.
  • Project management within a multicultural environment; able to deliver tasks within tight deadline
  • Experience of managing remotely and being managed remotely
  • Competent in Strategic thinking and implementation
  • Well developed lateral and analytical thinking skills
  • Commitment to confidentiality
  • Strong people manager; able to lead a professional team
  • Strong consultancy skills; able to identify underlying issues to business/people problems
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, employment law and regional labour legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
Responsibilities You will be responsible to:
  • Manage a team who are regionally based and will be responsible for ensuring a consistent approach is achieved across the region to SLA standards and compliant with local employment laws.
  • Champion best practice in all areas of people processes that build the reputation of Etihad Airways as an Employer of choice within the region.
  • Identify and escalate to the Head of Human Resources Business Partner any strategic issues/opportunities relating to HR deliverables to the business.
  • Create strong business partnerships that fully integrate and align the goals of the Business to the Region
  • Support and manage the implementation of projects, management development, performance management, succession planning, recruitment, organisational design and learning and development requirements for the Region
  • Manage the day-to-day performance of the Regional HR teams to deliver a customer focused and responsive service delivery within SLA agreements
  • Strong liaison with Head Office Resourcing, Workforce Planning, Compensation and Benefits and Line Managers to deliver planned manpower regional resources
  • Support Regional projects delivery in liaison with HR Projects Managers to ensure local business drivers are delivered within projected timescales
  • Manage Industrial Relations and Collective Agreement Negotiation and Implementation within Region
  • Manage relationships and ensure that interpretation of local staff-related policies and laws are in accordance with company regulations and legal requirements
  • Deliver HR Corporate communication strategy across the Region and act as a key interface between HRBP, local management teams and the Regional team in all aspects of HR processes
  • Ensure the local delivery of compensation and benefits advice in conjunction with Head office.
