£27,578 - £35,938 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance

Based in the University's award-winning Communications & Marketing team, the Media Relations and Campaign Manager will manage communications campaigns, media relations and stakeholder work in support of the University's strategic objectives focusing predominantly on national and international profile raising work. The post holder will oversee the work of a small team and support cross-cutting communications and engagement activities, including media relations work, as required, supporting wider engagement and lobbying activities through the provision of bespoke communications activities at strategic level.

Candidates should be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and/or in possession of a professional qualification in print, new media or broadcast journalism with proven experience in a relevant area. Candidates will need strongly developed people skills, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines across multiple projects.
