£27,578 - £35,938 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance

Based in the University's award-winning Communications & Marketing team, the International Media Relations Manager will manage a wide and varied range of international media relations activities including media calls, press releases, interview and expert commentary requests and wider PR/stakeholder queries and requests.

The post holder will be involved in the development of international media relations plans, the placement of experts and the development and creation of activities in support of the University's strategic objectives focusing predominantly on global profile raising work with a specific remit to support for research and development campaign related PR.

Candidates should be educated to degree level and/or in possession of a professional qualification in print, new media or broadcast journalism with proven experience in a relevant area. Candidates will need strongly developed people skills, writing and research skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines across multiple projects.
