Specialist, Gender and Human Rights , Switzerland

The Specialist supports both the Gender and Most at Risk Populations Senior Specialist and the Human Rights and Equity Senior Specialist, in analysis and technical advice on Gender, Key Populations and human rights (cross-cutting) issues in support of the three diseases, collaborating across the Secretariat and with external partners, as directed by the Senior Specialists.

S/he provides the Global Fund with technical and analytical expertise on gender, most at risk populations and human rights insuring the integration and mainstreaming across the three diseases, and in close collaboration with community and health systems strengthening; Supporting the implementation of the Gender and Sexual Orientation and Gender Identities (SOGI) strategies and the 2012-2016 Global Fund Strategy work stream on human rights; supporting the country teams and Secretariat in identifying cross-cutting opportunities for reprogramming of existing grants, and for programming of new funding; liaising closely with key partners to maximize the Global Fund’s contribution in cross-cutting areas to the fight against the three diseases, as directed by the Senior Specialists.
