Proposal Development Associate Level I in Washington, DC.

Positions Description:

Identify and circulate appropriate funding opportunities to senior leadership and key internal stakeholders.

Utilize external databases and search engines to seek funding opportunities.

Maintain information and data in a comprehensive proposal database to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Include regular updates of database information.

Seeking information from key stakeholders across the organization in order to ensure accurate reporting.

Create and distribute both regular and ad hoc business development reports to senior leadership and others in the organization.

Maintain internal websites/ Intranet sites by ensuring appropriateness of structure, content and functionality.

Manage confidential and sensitive information.

Represent the Business Planning and Proposals division as appropriate at internal and external meetings.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Associate or Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in Business Administration, Information Management, or Social Sciences and 1-2 years of relevant experience information management, business development or project management.

Possess strong interpersonal skills with sensitivity to cultural diversity and understanding of the political and ethical issues addressed by FHI 360.

Familiarity with international and domestic funders across multiple human development sectors, including USAID, Departments of Education and State, Health and Human Services, and foundations funding human development activities.

Work on multiple projects simultaneously, independently and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
