IMT and GSD have cosponsored e-Services portal to integrate all services from IMT and GSD, and large country offices and offer these services to World Bank end-users in a one stop shopping environment. The benefits of the portal are as the follows:
• Build a flexible and scalable platform for enterprise services provisioning;
• Benefit end-users to be able to order and track services in the business context in an easy and friendly web interface;
• Help service providers not only in tracking service orders, but also in configuring and changing service policies and processes, to match the changing business environment; and
• Harmonize service provisioning and improve efficiency.
The eServices portal has been in operations since 2005. As of 2012, eServices has about 1200 products and services, 450 service forms, 420 service provider groups, and 200 approver groups. In addition, more than 2000 resources items listed in both the portal and eReserve, The portal requires day-to-day operational support for all service providers’ activities in HQ as well as more than 22 country offices business activities. Furthermore, many new catalog products and resources and their workflow configurations are in the pipeline and need to be created at eServices. Therefore, having a catalog function is essential for eServices service providers and decentralized business operations model at the World Bank group.
The catalog management function is resided in ISGBU. The staff who works on the catalog management function will be reporting to ISGBU eservices program team, and works closely with the catalog staff in Chennai.
The person is expected to get started with work from the comprehensive eServices catalog management manual.
1. Support HQ /country services offering and service development. The work includes the following:
• Create service IDs
• Assign ID to categories
• Prepare service provider table
• Set up initial information and content
• Configure business workflow in CRM
• Collaborate with service providers
• Define and test new services
• Upload new product images
• Prepare monthly service reports
• Documentation of new catalog features
2. Maintain HQ/country offices existing products and services. The work includes the following:
• Update business content
• Update service provider information
• Update service product pricing
• Archive obsolete products
3. Other eServices related ad hoc tasks
