HR Account Managers (HRAM) are the Business Partners to their assigned client departments. They work closely with directors and managers on issues of organizational development and change management; they participate in the development of new programs and policies and coordinate activities with colleagues in HR programs (Recruitment and Staffing, Learning, Leadership Development, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits). On the day-to-day basis, they are the first focal point for all HR issues from recruitment to separations, including matters such as on-boarding, management and staff development, performance management, strategic staffing, compensation and benefits, learning, career counseling, succession planning, and more. 

We are recruiting an HRAM who will be based in Sao Paulo and cover HR responsibilities for staff in the Latin America and Caribbean region. He/she will be part of the regional HR Client Services team, work closely with colleagues in other parts of Latin America, as well as with HR teams at HQ and other locations.
Duties and Accountabilities:
Operating within the framework of the World Bank Group Human Resources policies, HR Account Managers are in charge of: 

· Advising Managers on IFC Corporate HR policies, procedures and best practices, as well as on organizational development issues.

· Advice management on staffing plans and organizational development, which includes the preparation and monitoring of accurate HR budgets of Units/Departments highlighting potential gaps or issues that will impact on staffing costs and budgets.

· Advice on the selection of final candidates and the remuneration packages.

· Support the on-boarding of new staff members taking into account corporate IFC On Boarding program.

· Career counseling.and succession planning.

· Management of staff movements, rotations and developmental assignments.

· Coaching and advising managers and staff on performance management issues.

· Advise on compensation and promotion matters.

· Monitoring of internal mobility issues in coordination with HR Mobility team.

· Advise on terminations and separations.

· Analyzing staffing mix and staffing needs with focus on the IFC Corporation’s diversity objectives and on the LAC regional priorities.

· Work across regional and functional boundaries where required.
Selection Criteria:
· Advanced university degree

· 8+ years of broad and in-depth HR management experience in the private sector, preferably but not necessarily in a financial or service oriented environment.

· Proven track record in implementing projects in organizational development, performance management and/or change management.

Proven organization and planning skills and ability to review and implement HR policies and procedures with a 'corporate" and "regional" approach.

Financial and budget knowledge and experience is desirable, to identify budget implications of staffing plans due to different types of appointments

Work experience in a multi-cultural setting; experience working abroad is a competitive advantage (e.g., experience in managing 'virtual' teams would be preferable).

· A good combination of strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to think strategically.

· Excellent interpersonal and team building skills; experience in building and maintaining good relationships at both, senior management and all staff levels. 

· Strong communication skills in English is a must; candidates with additional language skills in Portuguese and/or Spanish are preferred. 

· A keen interest in the kind of work and mission that IFC represents is important.
