Land Development Specialist: Land Assembly and Management

Key Responsibility Areas
The incumbent will be required to perform the following duties:
Formulate development concept plans for strategic land parcels in targeted local municipalities
Formulate land development approach for the company in support of the integrated human settlement policy
Analyze local areas spatial development plans including environmental and infrastructure services
Design concept plans and define key structural elements and development phases for  optimizing  potential land and property opportunities
Review the Identified land and landed properties by the company
Engage with key stakeholders  on land development proposals
Conduct land Use Assessments
Assess land potential in terms of the rapid land identification criteria for pre-acquisition in relation to geo-physical parameters:
Researching the viability of the land and the proposed development opportunity
Assessing the opportunity in line with the company mandate and strategy
Review relevant comprehensive feasibility studies on  the land and make recommendations on appropriateness of use
Manage Development finance packing process
Manage financial feasibility studies on concept/development plans and propose appropriate land use and development options for the company land portfolio
Align development finance and programming in accordance to government multi-year budgetary cycles.

Key Requirements:
A relevant degree in the Built Environment, Urban Design and/or Town Planning environment
Experience in GIS or related spatial information systems
Experience in Auto CAD
A minimum of 6 year experience in the built environment
Be prepared, willing and able to travel, code 8 (B) drivers’ license is essential

Competent in MS Outlook, Excel advanced, Auto CAD, PowerPoint advanced, MS Projects (or similar)
