Communications Specialist Mission:
As a Communications Specialist you will be responsible for determining the best way for Women Win to represent our work externally, in an effort to build our global exposure. You will manage all aspects of WW’s marketing and communications including, but not limited to, web site maintenance, social media, branding, PR, internal and external communications with key stakeholders, design and development of creative materials, including position papers, thought-leadership articles, etc.

Key Accountabilities:
• In alignment with Women Win’s strategic plan, lead execution of a global communications strategy aimed at building on Women Win’s brand-as the international leader in addressing girls’ rights through sport.
• Work strategically with Women Win resource mobilization team to build region specific communications and fundraising strategies, US, UK, and NL.
• Lead and manage relationship with external vendors including pro-bono advertising agency, technology partners, and writers.  Strategically brief all creative and media projects based on stakeholder insights, WW’s objectives and creative ideas. Word with agencies to define deliverables, budgets, and goals.
• Develop and execute a Digital Storytelling Project to catalyse girls to tell, produce, and share their personal stories of empowerment through sport.
• Oversee design, content, and production of all communications materials including, but not limited to: promotional material, press releases, annual reports, policy reports, website content, social media outputs, public service announcements, video scripts.
• Build relevant on and offline collaborative relationships with key actors across sectors including strategic corporations as well as (sport) institutions and other key stakeholders in the field of sports, academics, women’s movements and investors.
• Manage communications budget and activities.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, New Media, or another relevant study
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Communications, New Media, or other relevant field
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills including new media communication
• Experience managing projects with agencies, web developers, designers, and external creative, including writers and designers
• High level of proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite – including Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Strong experience in producing dynamic communications material including, promotional materials, reports, articles, web based media content
• Ability to construct and deliver on a tight budget
• Language: Candidate must speak and write English fluently (native language proficiency). High level of Dutch and/or Spanish proficiency is very helpful
• Legal status to work and live in the Netherlands
Additional Skills and Experience:
• Creative thinker
• Keen awareness of popular trends in online communications and marketing
• Knowledge and/or experience with sport
• Knowledge and/or experience with women’s development
• Ability to work well in collaboration
• Travel and/or living abroad experience
• Established connections in media, advertising, and/or marketing
• Experience in using online databases and content management systems
This position reports to the Learn Director and will be located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and is approximately 28 hours per week.
