Research Associate III in Bangkok, Thailand

Position Description:
  • Defines, leads, and manages the implementation of clinical research conducted in Thailand.
  • Works closely with Research Director and Clinical Operations Director to formulate research staff training and development programs
  • Supervises, trains, and mentors Global Research Services(GRS) staff based in Thailand.  Provides additional training and mentoring and support to other GRS regional staff as needed.
  • Works closely with senior research staff to conduct research studies by taking the lead in one or more major research activities for complex research studies.
  • Designs and manages one or more group or division-wide systems for carrying out research management and support activities.
  • Formulates scope of work and budgets including staff work load and assignments for new project proposals.
  • Liaises with sponsors and other clients to ensure research projects are conducted according to established scopes of work and timelines, and any additional contractual and regulatory obligations.
  • Monitors study budgets and timelines for assigned projects.
  • Collaborates with team members and field investigators throughout all phases of research.

Minimum Requirements: 
MS/MA/MPH in pharmaceutical, public health, science or related field, and 7-9 years relevant experience and professional level of knowledge and expertise in research methods and application; or MD/PhD and 5-7 years relevant experience and professional level of knowledge and expertise in research methods and application.  Experience in the supervision and mentoring of technical/clinical research staff .  Ability to manage multiple projects, set realistic priorities and objectives and establish measurements tools to meet these objectives.  Ability to travel (domestically and internationally) at least 20%.  Good command of speaking and writing English and Thai.
