Key Results expected: Quality and timely estimates of GAVI outcomes and impact through immunization data coverage, surveillance, special studies, and impact modelling activities. Main duties/ Responsibilities: Provide coordination and technical support to estimate the outcomes and impact of GAVI Alliance investments: • Programme Coordination: o Coordinate technical and steering committee meetings for Outcomes & Impact activities; o Manage communications within the Secretariat and Alliance partners; o Track progress of the Outcomes & Impact work plan; o Map GAVI Secretariat and Alliance partner activities in immunization data quality, surveillance and special studies; o Summarize key findings from deliverables and meetings. • Data Analysis: o Perform data analysis to measure GAVI’s progress and key drivers of outcomes and impact indicators; o Liaise with the Monitoring & Evaluation Information Manager to strengthen the information management system data, reports, analysis and documentation and improve timely measurement of GAVI outcomes and impact; o Collect and format input data and provide assistance in impact modelling activities; o Document data sources and methods used to measure outcomes and impact; o Perform ad-hoc comprehensive literature reviews and synthesize the available evidence on methods to improve the level and measurement of outcomes and impact indicators; o Perform data analysis and provide technical review of documents and presentations to support to the work of the Advocacy and Media and Communications groups within the Secretariat. Note: The essential functions listed in this section are not limited only to the tasks listed and may include other duties as assigned. Academic: University Degree in Public Health or equivalent (e.g. MPH, MSPH, MSc). Work experience: • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar position; • Public and Global Health experience an asset.
Skills/competencies: • Advanced skills in Public Health research, infectious disease epidemiology, and biostatistics; • Sound understanding of the principles, standard indicators and data sources associated with demographic and health data; • Strong data analysis skills, including use of STATA and MS Excel; • Strong organisational skills; • Exceptional attention to detail; • Demonstrated capacity to manage project activities to provide quality and timely deliverables; • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and with relative independence; • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment; • Tact and discretion; • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Languages: • Written and spoken Fluency in English; • French or other languages an asset.
