Director Protocol (AD14)
The Secretariat-General is one of the central services of the European Commission. It is the President's department, at the service of the President, the College and the Commission's Directorates-General.
The Protocol Service is a Directorate in the Secretariat-General. It facilitates high-level diplomatic contacts between the European Commission’s and Member States or third countries.
Your responsibilities:
- Handling all Protocol aspects of the European Commission, including those of the President and the Members of the Commission;
- Managing the agrément and credentials procedures of third countries’ heads of diplomatic missions to the EU;
- Managing and leading a team of motivated and high-performing professionals.
Your skills:
- Proven high-level management experience and leadership skills;
- Strong communication, negotiation and inter-personal skills in order to communicate efficiently and fluently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations and of related matters;
