Triple Jump is looking for a:
(Senior) SME Finance Advisor
40 hrs per week, based in Amsterdam with occasional travel
Triple Jump is a responsible investment manager based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Triple Jump manages and advises investment funds that focus on improving livelihoods at the bottom of the pyramid. Through Triple Jump Advisory Services we provide technical assistance and advisory services to portfolio companies and their customers globally.
Triple Jump plans to expand its services in the market of small and medium enterprise finance, more specifically focused on the Missing Middle. In addition to providing financial services to Intermediary Funds that serve this Missing Middle, we will support market development by providing technical assistance and business development services to these Intermediary Funds and their customers.
As (Senior) SME Advisor you will:
* advise Triple Jump and Intermediary SME Funds on strategies to 1) develop value-adding and sustainable Business Development Services (BDS) for small and medium enterprises (SME) and 2) strengthen capacities of Intermediary SME Funds through technical assistance (TA);
* develop, review and support the implementation of 1) Business Development programs - together with Intermediate funds - that are dedicated to serving SME and 2) Technical Assistance (TA) projects for Intermediate SME Funds;
* broker between Intermediary Funds and non-financial service providers to generate integrated service-offers that can spur development of the Missing Middle;
* actively promote the development of high impact, financially sustainable and scalable TA/BDS as part of a wider business ecosystem for SME.
You will report to the Head of Advisory Services. The position requires regular travel to countries where Triple Jump is active. The position is initially for 1 year and based in Amsterdam. If successful, the candidate will be offered a permanent position. Candidates must possess a valid working permit for the European Union.
Job Requirements:
* > 7 years of relevant working experience in SME finance-related field;
* experience on development and implementation of Business Development Services for SME and preferably experience with development and implementation of Technical Assistance projects for intermediary SME funds;
* extensive network of (local) consultants and service providers for TA/BDS;
* experience with development and management of global TA/BDS program;
* smart, analytical, innovative, creative problem solver;
* systematic approach - good program management skills;
* good communication skills - keen to share achievements;
* fluent in English, knowledge of French and Spanish preferred.
