Job Description:

Clients include international development agencies, international lending institutions, private corporations and philanthropies, and host-country governments.

DAI’s Office of Recruitment is seeking a well-organized, self-motivated individual with good interpersonal skills, research and writing ability to serve as a staff member in the home office. The Associate Recruiter will report to the Recruitment Manager for Economic Growth.

The Associate Recruiter will work with and support efforts of proposal and project management teams to fill positions on current projects and upcoming proposals.

Responsibilities:

• Support teams through sourcing of appropriate candidates through internal and external networks, industry events, DAI’s internal recruitment database and online electronic resources
• Maintain rosters of experts for decision makers, under direction of Sector Recruitment manager
• Verify salaries, conduct reference checks, process background checks and obtain letters of commitment, biodata forms, and other required paperwork from candidates
• Ensure that all staffing documentation submitted with nominations complies with donor rules and regulations and is fully verified in DAI systems
• Prepare follow-up correspondence with candidates
• Coordinate/schedule meetings between candidates and hiring managers
• Follow standardized processes to screen and select the best candidates, ensuring compliance with USAID employment specifications
• Write and format candidate CVs to address qualifications required for specific roles for nomination/approval
• Maintain mailing lists to keep consultants regularly informed of DAI new projects and activities
• Prepare drafts of staffing charts and other documents for inclusion in proposals, under direction of recruiters
• Perform other recruiting support tasks as required by workload

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• Two years relevant work experience, international development experience preferred
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail
• Ability to handle many tasks simultaneously, often with inflexible deadlines
• Excellent team skills reflected in an ability to work effectively and successfully in teams of diverse personalities with only general direction
• Ability to take responsibility for, and lead, assignments and report on progress with minimal oversight
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal clients and external candidates, both verbally and in writing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with proficiency in English
• Experience using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, Internet search engines
