Communication and Administrative Officer SEFI

Founded in 1973, SEFI is an international non-profit organisation based in Brussels. The objective of SEFI – Société Européenne pour la Formation des Ingénieurs – European Society for Engineering Education – is to promote and improve higher engineering education in Europe. This is done via a series of activities and projects undertaken by the SEFI Head office in Brussels that also coordinates the SEFI membership network (universities, associations, companies) present in 42 countries.

Mission of the position

  • To contribute to the development of SEFI’s membership network
  • To support and develop the communication with SEFI’s members
  • To assist the Secretary General

Description of the position

  • Develop and maintain member database
  • Invoice and members’ accountancy
  • Daily communication with members
  • Recruit members
  • Prepare information campaigns and marketing materials
  • Prepare press reviews
  • Develop and maintain SEFI website and e-mailing lists
  • Assist in the organisation of international meetings and conferences

Profile

  • Interest in international/ European corporation and academic subjects. Experience in this field is an advantage.
  • Well organized with a high sense of responsibility
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Good communication skills
  • Perfect spoken and written English, fluent French. German is an asset and so is any additional language.
  • MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)/Outlook/Filemaker Pro
  • Willingness to occasional travel activities
