A large company in the automotive industry based in Durban is looking for Manager: Business Planning

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

Relevant Degree or Diploma (BComm)
Managerial accounting in a manufacturing company 3-5 years with very good business acumen
Excellent computer literacy (MS Excel mandatory) and preferably knowledge of SAP BW or Hyperion or Cognos

DUTIES

The incumbent of this position will fulfill the necessary requirements within the Department to meet objectives with regards to providing accurate, reliable and timeous information to Senior Management on the expected financial performance of the Company as relates to Forecasts, Budgets, Medium and Long-Term Plans, Strategic Studies, and Special Projects
Budgets, Medium & Long Term Plans such as the consolidation of the Gross Profit Models (GPS) into Income Statement models (ISC)
Monthly forecasting, which includes the preparation and coordination of timing schedules, and establishment of meetings in coordination with the Senior Manager
Calculation of the Net Realizable Value (NRV) and the Effective Duty Rate (EDR) for planning and decision making purposes
Human Resource Development, including the completion of quarterly Performance Management Reviews.
iFEM and other reporting, such as the preparation of data for loading into iFEM
Kaizen of Business Planning Systems and Processes, involving the continuous review of processes and systems to identify areas in need of improvement
