Background
The African Union (AU), established as a unique Pan African continental body is charged with spearheading Africa’s rapid integration and sustainable development by promoting unity, solidarity, cohesion and cooperation among the peoples of Africa and African States as well as developing a new partnership worldwide. Its Headquarters is located in Addis Ababa, capital city of Ethiopia

The AU has set aside funds for numerous activities towards African development and integration processes and wishes to use part of it for the conduct Feasibility on the Creation of an African Integration Fund

The objectives:
The overall objective of this assignment is to assess the feasibility of establishing an Integration Fund and identify modalities for establishing such a fund at a continental level taking into account the existing regional and continental arrangements.

To this end, the African Union Commission now invites Expression of Interest from eligible consultancy firms to undertake the Feasibility Study Feasibility on the Creation of an African Integration Fund. The total duration of the study shall not exceed three (3) months and requires the services of at least two (2) key experts..

Interested firms or consortium should submit the following documents along with signed and sealed Letter of Expression of Interest:
i. Detailed company profile,
ii. List of verifiable previous experiences of similar study within the last three years,
iii. Copies of registration certificates and business licenses,
iv. Audited Financial Statement for the past three years

Submission of Expression of Interest
One original and three copies of EOIs (in either English or French Language) must be received in one sealed envelope not later than Friday, 25 February 2011 at 1530hours local time. The envelope must be clearly labelled. Late bid would be rejected and return unopened.

All EOIs received would be evaluated based on the company’s experience in similar assignment; valid registration certificates; annual turnover of not less than USD1, 000,000.

Bidding Document, including detail Terms of Reference (TOR) would be sent to short listed firms that met our technical requirements for the final stage of the selection process.
