Finance Administrator (36 hours)

Based at our Head Office, you will be responsible for a range of general accounting activities within the Finance & Administration Department. You will have primary responsibility for certain tasks and will act as backup and support for other members of the team as necessary.

The Finance & Administration department at Head Office is composed of 4 people and is responsible for the processing, managing, controlling and reporting of financial data of Head Office and also leads the SNV worldwide planning and execution of the Year End Close procedures providing financial data for the Corporate Financial Statements.

Key responsibilities:

· General Accounting:

- Accounts Payable administration including posting, distribution and tracking of invoices to ensure timely and accurate settlement;

- Maintenance of master data for Accounts Payable and salary administration;

- Responsible for timely and accurate processing of salary payments for HO and international staff and timely resolution of problems;

- Accounts Receivable processing;

- Preparation of payment batches for vendors and intercompany transactions;

- Processing of business expenses for HO staff;

- Collection and accounting for petty cash receipts (canteen machine income);

- Back up for intercompany processing and liquidity request processing;

- Other tasks as assigned by Team Leader.

· Administrative tasks:

- Archiving of financial documents and contract management for unit.

· Financial Reporting:

- Distributing expenditure reports for Head Office units and answering queries.

Candidate profile:

· Education: MEAO is required as a minimum. Higher education is a plus.
· Work experience: 2 to 4 years experience in General Ledger, AP/AR, salary administration knowledge is a big plus;
· Skills: Service orientation, committed to quality and process improvement, excellent communication skills, good at managing multiple tasks effectively, self-reliant and takes responsibility for completion of tasks within deadlines;
· Computer skills: Should have excellent excel skills and good knowledge of SAP FICO is a plus;
· Languages: Fluent Dutch and English (both written and spoken).

Contract period: 1 year with possible extension
