GSMC Technical Manager - Temporary Agent AD9

GALILEO is Europe's satellite radionavigation system. The programme, launched on the initiative of the European Commission, represents a technological revolution in the making, with an impact to rival that made by mobile phones. GALILEO will lead to the development of a broad scope of new universal services and applications in areas such as transport, agriculture and fisheries. The programme will be administered and controlled by civilians and will guarantee a high level of quality and continuity, a distinctive feature that is essential for many sensitive applications. With GALILEO, Europe will have full control and will be independent in an exciting and lucrative technology domain.

The European GNSS Agency (GSA) is a Community Agency, provisionally located in Brussels. A decision on its definitive location in one of the European Union Member States is still awaited.

Working within the Authority represents a unique opportunity to contribute to the most important technological innovation project in the European Union. The Agency needs highly qualified personnel, able to undertake the specialised tasks that will make the GALILEO promise a reality. Determined to apply the best world-class competitive practices, the GSA has drawn a large majority of its current staff from the private sector, mostly from commercial industries.
