Applications are invited for the following positions, based in the Continental Africa Regional Office (CARO) in Johannesburg:

HR Manager: Talent Pool Optimisation & Training

The successful candidate will be based in the HR Department and will optimise HR Processes within the Continental Africa Region in respect of Employment Equity, Localisation, Training, Development and Talent Management.

Applicants must have the following:
· A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Organisation Development or other related fields
· 10 years experience in providing input into, co-ordinating and monitoring organisational-wide targeted training and talent management programme

The successful candidate will be expected to focus on:
· Employment Equity: * Co-ordinate input into the employment equity plans for the Continental Africa Regional Office * Provide specialist advice to line management for the achievement of employment equity targets * Monitor skills development targets within the boundaries of legislative requirements to meet statutory training requirements * Monitor the 5-year employment equity targets for the Continental Africa Regional Office * Co-ordinate input towards and compile reports for submission to the Transformation Human Resource Development Board Sub-committee (THRD) and Transformation Steering Committee (TSC) * Ensure the integrity of Employment Equity Targets and report thereon to the THRD and TSC

· Localisation: * Monitor in-country localisation targets and plans within the boundaries of operational requirements * Provide specialist advice to the business units/mine sites within CAR on achieving localisation targets * Ensure the integrity of input on reports submitted quarterly to the THRD on localisation plans and targets within CAR and CARO * Monitor in-country legislation requirements and agreements for localisation compliance

· Career Development and Talent Pool Optimisation: * Co-ordinate the execution of the CAR training and development plan as it pertains to programme initiatives where these span more than one Business Unit, eg graduate trainee programmes * Co-ordinate training and development needs analyses, as defined by Functional Heads in CARO * Co-ordinate staff development panels for staff as required by Functional Heads * Monitor the development plans for all employees on assignment in foreign countries * Co-ordinate the succession planning process for assignees in foreign countries

· Training: * Monitor the effectiveness of mine training programmes in support of the Region's functional heads * Provide Business Unit management and mine site training managers with specialist advice on training programmes. (Ref. HRM 02/11)
