The international development finance institution Oikocredit is a leading worldwide socially responsible financier of microfinance institutions and other income-generating projects, providing cooperatives, micro-entrepreneurs, small businesses, groups of disadvantaged farmers and other productive enterprises in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe with the capital they need to expand their businesses and improve their livelihoods through loans and equity investments. The financial resources come from investments by around 37.000 individuals and 6.000 institutions. Oikocredit is a cooperative of around 600 members, amongst them 31 support associations (SAs). Oikocredit has 2 SAs in the USA, located in Seattle and Pittsburgh and one national support office in Washington D.C. Oikocredit International is based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, has 8 regional offices, 32 country offices, 5 national support offices and around 221 staff members worldwide.

NATIONAL DIRECTOR OIKOCREDIT USA (M/F)

Main Responsibilities

  • Represent Oikocredit in the USA
  • Develop & ensure implementation of USA marketing plan; attract investments within USA
  • Maintain investor relations
  • Review investment products and opportunities
  • Support, maintain and build capacity within support associations in the USA that promote Oikocredit
  • Strengthen involvement of churches in Oikocredit (investing and promotion) and promote Socially Responsible Investing & Mission related investing amongst churches and other potential institutional investors
  • Assure collaboration with other partners (like investment intermediaries)

This National Director Oikocredit USA will succeed the current

Executive Director Oikocredit USA.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent through experience in economics, finance or business administration
  • 3 to 5 years of management experience
  • Knowledge of and experience with organization development, in particular with Semi-volunteers organizations
  • Good knowledge of financial markets, products and financial institutions
  • Demonstrated sales and/or investment product marketing
  • Demonstrated relationship management experience and familiarity with SalesForce or a similar CRM system
  • Knowledge of or familiarity with microfinance, social investing, mission-related Investing, and/or impact investing

    Competences
    Applicants should have a strategic vision and a good market oriented background in this field. Are you a strong communicator with extensive organisational and representation skills? Do you have the above mentioned education and experience? Are you able to develop positive working relationships with people from different social, cultural and religious backgrounds? Are you willing to travel (internationally) frequently? Are you ready to make a change?
