Programme Manager

Reporting to the Capital Programme Executive, the incumbent will provide start-up and project development services through to co-ordinating the collection of business requirement information and determining the potential cost benefit of the project.

Broadband Infraco is a State-led intervention to rapidly normalise telecoms market efficiency by commoditising only those parts of infrastructure that impede private sector development and innovation in telecoms service and content offerings. With this ground-breaking development comes the need to find enthusiastic South Africans with appropriate skills, qualifications and experience to form part of this initiative.

Programme Manager

Key outputs: Reporting to the Capital Programme Executive, the incumbent will provide start-up and project
development services through to co-ordinating the collection of business requirement information and determining the potential cost benefit of the project. He/she will co-ordinate the completion of the business case as well as facilitate and compile the project charter, including identifying and contracting the project deadlines, project deliverables, milestones, risks and management support requirements.

Qualifications and experience: Candidates must have a recognised Bachelor’s degree with a Project Management
qualification and 5+ years’ telecommunications and project management experience. Proven ability to manage
fibre optic and site construction contracts is essential, along with good written and verbal communication skills.
