Africare is an International Non Governmental Organization seeks to fill the position for Regional Grants Officers for implementation of Orphans and vulnerable Children (OVC) Care program in Tanzania in (Pamoja tuwelee program).The incumbent will be responsible for management of regional sub-awards to civil societ organizations implementing OVC interventions.

Duties/Responsibilities:
1-Grants Management:

Implement the Africare grants management system at system at regional level including screening, evaluation approval and monitoring systems.

Monitor and update grantee progress to the zonal Manager on the monthly quarterly and annual program financial and activity progress.

Development and implementation of grant compliance materials and training modules for sub-recipients.Orientation of grate sub recipients on the USAID administrative requirements and cost principles for such fund.

Provide on-going Monitor grant agreement omplience through on-site supportive supervision visits and program audits.
2-Data Management:

Coordination,documentation and security of program data and information for use by stakeholders participating in development and implementation of standardized grant tracking tools.

Financial Management

Technical support to sub-recipients in programmatic and and financial reporting.

Track financial expenditures against sub recipients progress towards meeting program specific planning and reporting requirements

Review of sub grantee monthly financial reports and gives feedback with direction on corrective action




Oversees annual work plans by sub recipients with close eye on budgets. Develop and maintain budget tracking and monitoring systems.

Ensure for sub-recipients use proper expenditure documentation and control practices and timely submission of required technical and accountability reports.

Capacity building of sub recipients especially on preparation of financial report and budget. Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in Business Management (Accounting option is an added advantage))) or Bachelor Degree in Health Sciences

Experience in working with NGOs (Experience with USG funded project is an added advantage) Minimum three years practical experience in grants management,capacity building and program monitoring (including financial reporting) is preferred.

Strong management and facilitation skills.

Excellent communication,organizational and leadership skills Excellent command of English and Kiswahili.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability Application Process
