Action Against Hunger (ACF) is an international humanitarian NGO. For over thirty' years it has been implementing Food Security and Livelihoods, Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, in Lira, Apac, Oyam, Gulu, Kaabong and Moroto Districts.
POSITION: BASE LOGISTICS OFFICER- KARAMOJA
ACF is looking for a Base Logistics Officer based in Karamoja. The person will be under the direct supervision of the Head of Region in Karamoja
Responsibilities:
• Management of the Logistics Department, following ACF procedures and policies for the management of the supply chain, vehicle fleet, assets and stocks.
• Manage and maintain the upkeep of ail logistics records including Stock Report, Asset Register, Procurement Tracking Sheet, Fuel Report, Radio Comms Register and . Order Follow Up on a monthly basis
• Liaise closely with the Logistics Dept. in Kampala, and in general to support the Head of Region technical initiatives around internal logistics practices
• Monitor security information and networks and ensure that security information is disseminated appropriately and effectively through the HOR
Job requirement
Academic Qualifications:
• University degree in economics or logistics or procurement
Experience
•Minimum of 1 year of meaningful professional experience in logistics in a similar position.
•Proven staff management experience
Specific Skills
•Ability to work independently when necessary, set realistic goals, and work within agreed timelines.
Strong organizational skills and able to manage and prioritize a significant workload Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support, motivate, and Train other logistics staff.
•Ability to keep clear and concise records
•Professional computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Internet, and email.
•Ability to communicate and perform within an international and multicultural team. Fluent language skills in English and national language Ngakaramojong are an asset. Familiarity with humanitarian principles
