Minimum requirements:

• A Doctorate degree in Computer Engineering/Electronic Engineering/Electrical Engineering/ Computer Science or a relevant equivalent qualification.
• Significant years of teaching, research at tertiary level and industrial experience in computing at comparable university level
• A proven track record of publications in journals and conference proceedings is highly recommended
• Advanced knowledge in one or more of the following fields of study: digital systems; digital process control; intelligent industrial systems; games programming and IT electronics
• Postgraduate study leadership in the field of computing

Core functions

• To teach computer engineering to diploma and post graduate students
• To lead research activities including publications, presentations and writing of research proposals for funding
• Formulation and implementation of appropriate strategy for Research and Innovation and post graduate programme development
• Supervision of post graduate students
• Strategic partnership engagement with industry and institutions
• Strategic community engagement.
