Building on our achievements

Committed to research, learning and teaching that promote responsible leadership in a complex world, Hull University Business School enjoys an established reputation for high quality, enhanced by prestigious international and corporate partnerships, and first class facilities.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to provide short-term maternity cover for the role of Programme Administrator for the business school. This post is part-time (22.5 hours per week) and will be based at the University’s Scarborough campus from October 2011 to 30 September 2012.

Candidates for the role will provide professional advice and administrative support to ensure the effective implementation of school procedures and policies, and to maintain a high level of service for students and academic staff.

The role involves a range of activities, including the administration of all undergraduate and international applications to programmes of study, as well as the coordination of, and provision of supporting documentation for, student focused events such as induction and field trips. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of staff in the undergraduate office, as well as liaising with the school’s finance manager to monitor and document expenditure. They will also be required to plan and record the minutes for a number of core committee meetings.

Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification, candidates for the post will require excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as an ability to analyse information and produce management reports. Being part of the wider administrative team at the school, all staff are required to work flexibly in order to further its strategic objectives.

If you are ambitious, can commit to the achievement of the school’s vision and mission, and have the drive and ability to take us forward, we would be delighted to hear from you.
