Solid Waste Manager
Salary: R226 860 – R294 480 per annum (plus benefits) (Ref. PEDW0540)

Minimum requirements: • Relevant tertiary qualification/NQF 5 or equivalent • Diploma in Solid Waste Management • Valid driver’s licence • Computer literacy • Extensive experience within a solid waste environment • Experience in municipal procedures and systems will serve as an advantage.

Core responsibilities: • Plan, organise, lead and control the implementation and rendering of solid waste services • Plan short-, medium- and long-term operational strategies of the division • Manage and control the operational budget • Organise and co-ordinate the activities of waste services at depot level • Lead the waste depot to achieve the goals and objectives • Control the activities of the waste division • Perform administrative functions and liaise with various institutions.
