The European Union (EC) has been part of GAVI’s donor base since 2003 and has contributed/pledged a total of EUR 82.5 million to GAVI between 2003 and 2012. GAVI’s resource mobilisation aims to mobilise higher levels of predictable and sustainable long-term funding to finance GAVI’s programmes. As a result, GAVI is collaborating closely with the European Commission and other Brussels-based stakeholders to raise awareness of the importance of immunisation and the Alliance’s work in African, Caribbean and Pacific countries (ACP) and Asia/Europe in the longer term and ensure the continuity of its programmes.

GAVI seeks to appoint a Service Provider(s) to provide advice in the development of GAVI’s engagement strategy with the EC in Brussels in the coming year and implement corresponding activities in order to raise GAVI’s profile and raise awareness of immunisation in Brussels. In cooperation with the Senior Manager(s), Programme Funding, Service Provider(s) will intensify dialogue with key Brussels-based stakeholders on immunisation, GAVI and Millennium Development Goals (MDG) 4/5, working towards the major timelines of GAVI in the last quarter of 2011, as well as in 2012 and the key dates of Brussels’ agenda.
