Asia Circle Membership Manager
Asia Society, a prestigious, global, educational and cultural non-profit seeks an Asia Circle Membership Manager to be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating the Asia Circle and General Membership Programs and online/web fundraising.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Membership Management:
- Plans, manages, and cultivates all categories of General Membership with the specific goal of retaining members and moving them to higher categories.
- Supervises membership renewal and acknowledgement process.
- Increase membership enrollment and revenues through special membership programs and initiatives.
- Identifies and solicits new members by using database research and working with Asia Society staff across program areas.
- Oversees implementation of membership benefits.
- Involves members in volunteer committees, advisory committees or on task forces for special projects.
- Plans brochures, program calendars and reminders, as required.
- Prepares and monitors budget to support general membership groups’ activities.
- Works with Director of Events & Visitor Services to generate reports and financial information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Asia Circle Management:
- Plans all Asia Circle programming and manage all events.
- Identifies new Asia Circle members.
- Involves members in volunteer committees, advisory committees or on task forces for special projects.
- Updates database. Generates reports and financial information as requested. Undertakes research, as appropriate. Oversees implementation of membership benefits.
- Plans brochures, publications and direct mail, as required.
- Manages budget to support Asia Circle’s activities.
- Prepares monthly status reports.
Online/Web Fundraising:
- Generates ideas and tools for the development of online fundraising campaigns.
- Manages all web and social network fundraising features, working with internal and external resources.
- Plans direction and implementation of the online fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree and 4 to 5 years fundraising experience preferred with emphasis on membership programs, events management, or cultivation and identification of major donors
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong social media experience
- Flexible, collegial and collaborative style
- Ability to work independently and as a team player, engaging others at varying levels of seniority within and outside the organization
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, Raiser’s Edge, and database management.
