Processing Manager Australia-Western Perth

The Processing Manager is responsible for safe operation, optimal processing and gold recovery to meet production targets with optimised costs and minimal environmental impact. As a member of the Senior Management team, the Processing Manager sets systems and strategies to deliver industry best practice processing in line with Tactical and Strategic Plans.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Processing Manager is responsible for management of the Processing Department.

Key Responsibilities:

Overall Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and improve processing systems to ensure that all production and OHS targets are delivered to budget

• Provide strategic direction to the Processing Department and assist with the overall site strategic plan

• Assist the General Manager in developing the overall business strategy, particularly in regard to processing technology development and operations and infrastructure provision and maintenance

Leadership

• Ensure clearly defined objectives are agreed, monitored and evaluated for all direct reports and other key positions within the Department

• Comply with Line Managers’/Supervisors’ responsibilities as stated in Human Resources Policies and Procedures

• Display professional leadership in resolving employee disputes and maintaining company policy

Experience and qualifications required:

• Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy or a related discipline; Membership of AusIMM

• Familiarity with metallurgical accounting systems and understanding of process control systems.

• Experience in Maintenance management systems

• Power generation and HV reticulation systems

• Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management system (such as Oracle), word processing and spreadsheet applications

• Proven effective leadership and management of a multi-disciplinary processing department in a medium to large operation

• A high level understanding of Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations

• A strong working knowledge of the relevant environmental legislation

The operation is fly in/fly out from Perth on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster. Excellent on-site accommodation is provided.
