Monthly basic salary: 4.921,28 EUR at step 1 plus, specific allowances where applicable.

Possible reserve list valid until: 31/12/2012 (the validity of the reserve list may be extended)

JOB CONTENT
The Safety Analysis Officer will report to the Safety Analysis Section Manager of the Safety Analysis and Research Department within the Executive Directorate and will assist in the safety analysis tasks to provide the Agency with the information necessary to meet its safety mission.

He/she will in particular be responsible for:

Conducting in-depth analysis of aviation safety data to bring to the attention of policy makers potential hazards in aviation safety; Analysing safety data to provide information on the general levels of aviation safety to the public in order to fulfil the Agency’s requirement under the basic regulation; Implementing methods to accurately measure safety performance to permit policy makers to gauge safety trends; Extracting from various data sources safety data to be integrated into the Agency’s base of safety information in order to permit the accurate analysis. This includes the integration from non EASA States’ data bases; Developing quality assessment tools and methods for use by data providers in National Aviation Authorities (NAA) and by staff in the Agency to enhance the quality of safety data collected in Europe; Contributing to the development of safety data taxonomies and related methods with European Authorities, including development of reporting forms; Participating in related bodies of ICAO, the EC and others to enhance the international usability and comparability of safety data; Developing ECCAIRS related training material in order to enhance capabilities of Agency staff and staff in NAA’s to collect and classify safety data; Contributing to the development of QMS procedures and work instructions for the Safety Analysis Section and participate in related audits; Contributing to the development of projects aimed at enhancing the quantity and quality of safety data and related analysis tools.
