SANITAS Project Manager (7PM Marie Curie Actions)

Job purpose:

  • Assist the Project Coordinator to the day-to-day SANITAS project management, and
  • Provide specialist advice on European funding, rules for participation and contract matters to maintain and grow LEQUIA EU income as part of its strategy.

Primary responsibilities:

  • SANITAS Project administration and financial management. Elaboration of SANITAS project reports for the European Commission. Follow-up of SANITAS project deliverables according to the work-plan. Communication with SANITAS project partners also via web-based portal. Communication with the EC Organization of SANITAS project meetings.
  • Using network of contacts in EU, gather information on EU funding opportunities. Develop and maintain awareness of FP7 work programmes and provide guidance to LEQUIA staff on their content to enable them to quickly identify opportunities for funding within any thematic priority or individual call.
  • Assist LEQUIA staff through the development of high-quality bids, ensuring that applications meet the objectives and priorities of the scheme. Assist where LEQUIA is a partner in a consortium, negotiating and agreeing terms of collaboration with coordinating institution.
  • Any other duties that fall within the scope of the post as allocated by the Director of LEQUIA following consultation with the postholder.

Requirements (compulsory):

  • Knowledge in EU Framework Programme.
  • Organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • High level of spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and with limited support.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Team work, initiative, and organization, well organized self-starter.

Requirements (desirable):

  • Knowledge of web-based portal.
  • High level of spoken and written Spanish and/or other European languages.

Employment conditions:

Contract duration: 1 year (extendable to 3 years);
Start: 1st December 2011
Annual salary: 28.000 € circa/year, 35 hours per week
