Specialist - Global Support Studio

Gensler is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Global Support Studio. Bring your passion for all things global to help a world-leading architecture and design firm expand its footprint around the world - working in a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment along the way!

Responsibilities:

  • As part of a cross-functional team (Finance, Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, Risk Management, and Technology) you will execute and implement projects supporting the company’s global expansion
  • Closely collaborate with internal and external partners on a variety of issues related to the start-up of global offices including: registration, banking, accounting, taxation, visa/immigration, payroll & benefits, technology, communications
  • Help develop organizational processes related to global growth, including a framework for tracking international consultants and their capabilities
  • Drive projects related to the firm’s global expansion through their lifecycle phases to successful completion by managing project timing, expectations and deliverables. This includes identifying and managing project issues, dependencies and critical path and addressing any issues impeding progress
  • Provide regular status updates to internal project teams
  • Conduct project case studies to document lessons learned, identify best practices and make recommendations for improvements
  • Deliver consistent and high quality service to our internal clients

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree required with 5-7 years relevant experience; preferred disciplines are business and international relations
  • Prior project management and/or client service experience in the professional services industry
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; while able to contextualize issues within the bigger picture
  • Flexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and deadlines
  • Strong customer service orientation, a team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience supporting cross-functional teams
  • Language and cross-cultural understanding skills ideal
  • Experience living or working abroad a big plus
  • Flexibility to accommodate international business hours; e.g. early morning or evening teleconferences from time to time
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and MS Project or equivalent
