Chief Project Engineer United States-Nevada-Elko

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will be responsible for project evaluations from screening through feasibility levels, evaluate mining methods, optimize pit and underground designs, optimize and produce mining extraction and process production schedules. Generate facility designs, support complete financial evaluations and identify and evaluate required project trade-off studies. Support geotechnical, environmental and hydrologic activities, present project fundamentals, produce deliverable including project reports and studies, interface with consultants and internal experts, as required to perform tasks.

SELECTION CRITERIA

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or related engineering degree required
• Ten (10) years experience in a mineral operating environment required
• Strong knowledge in Whittle and Vulcan software required
• Knowledge in economic analysis required
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, with both internal and external contacts and the ability to work with all levels of the organization required
• Demonstrated success in working with teams across all functional areas required
