The School of Science and Technology comprises subject disciplines including Biomedical Science, Physics and Electronics, Chemistry, Human Biology and Physiology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Mathematics, Pharmacy, Sports Studies, Exercise and Sports Science, Statistics and Computer Science. The School conducts teaching and research through an exciting range of undergraduate, honours, postgraduate taught courses and research degrees by dissertation within these disciplines.

The School is seeking to appoint a new academic staff member in Organic Chemistry. The successful appointee must have a proven track record in research and be able to teach organic chemistry to large first year classes and in specialised units at second and third year levels in on campus and distance education modes. Applicants who could develop strong research and teaching links with the Biomedical Sciences and Pharmacy within the School will be at an advantage. Applicants must have a relevant PhD qualification, have a record of research publications and have the potential to develop and lead a research group. Applicants must also have excellent communication and organisational skills.

This position would ideally suit someone who wishes to retain their career focus while also having the desire for a life-style change in beautiful Armidale, New England. Armidale is surrounded by world heritage national parks, is only two hours from the mid north coast and is a unique regional centre that offers all the facilities of a much larger city. Salary: A$77,416 to A$91,751 per annum (Lecturer) plus 17% employer superannuation and optional salary packaging
