Knowledge Coordinator, Anti-Corruption Solutions and Knowledge Programme in Germany

The Knowledge Coordinator will facilitate communication and knowledge exchange across various networks and communities of practices supported by the ASK programme. A primary responsibility of the Knowledge Coordinator is to weave a stronger Anti-Corruption Research Network through mapping expertise and disseminating information relevant to the members; brokering purposeful collaborations between researchers and practitioners to spark innovation; and facilitating learning processes to accelerate adaptation of effective approaches.

The Knowledge Coordinator will be a catalyst in establishing and sustaining academic relationships, with a specific focus on expanding our capacity to connect TI practitioners seeking research support with student teams or researchers with shared interests. Special emphasis will be placed on expanding engagement with Southern researchers and academic institutions.

The Knowledge Coordinator will play a key role on a nine person knowledge services team within the Research and Knowledge Group. This position is ideal for someone seeking to apply their creativity and skill as a networker to make an immediate impact.
Main function: The Knowledge Coordinator contributes to the development of knowledge networks, management of content and facilitation of learning processes. S/he develops partnerships with academic institutions, with special emphasis on connecting student teams and researchers to the work of TI national chapters.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as network coordinator for the Anti-Corruption Research Network
  • Lead day-to-day content management for ASK programme websites, including the ACRN
  • Directly support the formation and function of effective communities of practice
  • Promote on-going knowledge exchange and peer-learning activities with key TI programmes, national chapters and practitioners
  • Curate anti-corruption knowledge produced in academia and develop effective mechanisms to promote access and up-take by practitioners
  • Broker purposeful matches between researchers, students and practitioners
  • Facilitate TI’s engagement with academic institutions in various regions
  • Support development of regional outreach plans for the ASK programme
  • Support representation of TI publicly in selected fora and support fundraising proposals.
  • Support the use of Monitoring Evaluation and Learning frameworks

Knowledge, experience and skills:

  • Masters or equivalent in economics, political science, communications, management, law or relevant subject (essential)
  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience coordinating networks, facilitating learning initiatives, and/or managing communities of practice (essential), ideally within the context of international development and/or joint academic-practitioner communities (desirable)
  • Experience collaborating with a globally diverse set of stakeholders: managing contributing editors, liaising with academics, connecting practitioners (essential)
  • Experience with online knowledge management and content management systems (essential)
  • Experience in the use of social media and networking tools to amplify outreach (essential)
  • Experience with the use of video and new media to enable learning (desirable)
  • Proven desk research skills (essential), ideally on issues relevant to corruption, transparency and accountability
  • Broad knowledge of the field of anti-corruption / governance research (desirable)
  • Experience in budget management and general project administration (desirable)
  • Fluency in English (essential), working knowledge of French or Spanish (desirable)
