- The Lead Development Representative (LDR) is responsible to develop new sales opportunities for the assigned territory.
- This involves responding to inbound requests (phone, e-mail) as well as executing targeted outbound campaigns.
- The LDR will often be the first contact a customer has with IBM and the critical success factor is to build a relationship, assess the customer’s business needs and pass on the sales opportunity to the most appropriate sales channel to close.
- The role requires the ability to communicate on IT projects on a business to business level effectively over the phone.

- The ability to build a trusting relationship over the phone
- A service orientated approach
- The ability to successfully collaborate as part of a virtual team
- Language should be mother tongue and fluent at a business level
