Sales, Marketing & Development Representative — Middle East
Description
- The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving annually defined sales targets (revenue, variable contribution, DSOs and past dues).
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive growth and value creation.
- Responsible for business and share growth through channel partners and direct customers consistent with business strategy by segment and/or application with respect to product offering, value pricing, value proposition creation, product/market positioning, account management and other related sales, marketing & development tools
- Develop expertise in key markets and applications and be the key point of contact for customers, partners and key players along the value chains.
- Continuously assess key markets for their attractiveness, understand trends and changes, legislation and regulatory issues, competitive benchmarking, value chain/key players/influencers.
- Promote the P&IP product lines along the different value chains. Work closely with the marketing and technical experts to develop and execute account strategies.
Qualifications
Key competencies
- Solid sales, marketing and business development experience: Must have proven track record in marketing, business development and selling technical B2B solutions.
- Experienced in working with/for distributors and/or other channel partners would be a plus.
- Technically capable: Able to understand applications and industry challenges in a technical environment. Asks pertinent questions to validate opportunities and customer needs. Understands threats.
- Interpersonal effectiveness: builds relationships with key industry players. Has organizational understanding, fosters open communication and manages disagreements. Listens effectively, be self confident and adopts a positive attitude.
- Communication: Good communication both oral and written, such as clearly documenting customer and market information on a frequent basis. Ability to prepare and present technical/marketing presentations in conferences and in front of customers.
- Organization skills: able to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently and good at prioritizing
- Self-Starter: accepts accountability, demonstrates personal initiative. Ready to travel within KSA and the GCC region for > 70% of time.
Skills/Experience
- 3 - 5 years of field sales, marketing and business development experience
- Knowledge of local paving regulations, specifications and standards a plus
- Knowledge of packaging, wire & cable and mining markets and relevant application profiles a plus
- Languages : fluent in both Arabic and English
- Extensive knowledge of the GCC marketplace, regional exposure within MENA is a plus
- Able to work independently and within a matrix team
