SV Church Programme Coordinator , Rwanda / Burundi
Tearfund is seeking to recruit
a Church Programme Coordinator for its regional work in Rwanda and
Burundi. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating Tearfund’s
response to Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV). This will
specifically entail facilitation of groups led by the Anglican Church,
involving other partners and stakeholders in working together to develop
and implement a regional response to SGBV.
The role will further provide technical support to assist the Anglican Church pilot initiatives that respond to the needs of survivors, affected and vulnerable communities.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in psychology, sociology, public health, education and or development studies. Additionally they will have experience in development work with a specific focus on advocacy, SGBV, HIV and other related fields within a multi-denominational context. They will exhibit good attention to detail, ability to think and plan strategically. Excellent interpersonal skills and competency in computer use are essential.
