Media Relations Manager

About the Roundhouse:
The Roundhouse’s purpose is to enable young people to realise their creative potential and to offer audiences, of all ages, new and extraordinary experiences in live music, theatre, dance, circus, spoken word and new media. Our vision is to be a hub of outstanding performance and learning powered by great artists and young people.
The role:
The Roundhouse is loved by audiences everywhere as a truly extraordinary place to experience live performance. Fewer people know that every year, the Roundhouse works with more than 3,000 11-25 year-olds from all backgrounds, supporting them to reach  their creative potential by offering opportunities in music, media and performing arts.
That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a brilliant Media Relations Manager for this exciting new in-house PR opportunity, a role that’ll focus on strategic work to raise the profile of the Roundhouse’s core mission.
Working outside the organisation’s ongoing, outsourced and sales-focused PR work around its artistic programme, you’ll play a vital role in building close and sustained relationships with key members of the press, developing a long-term approach to surfacing the Roundhouse’s core work with young people.
In addition to placing coverage, you’ll also contribute content to the organisation’s digital content output, working closely with the marketing team to contribute regularly in a range of voices via the organisation’s digital platforms.
If you’ve got the right experience, you’re looking for a PR role in the arts that goes well beyond production-focused campaigns and you’re full creative ideas to help us tell our story, we want to hear from you.
