Project Coordinator

Based in Washington, D.C., ACDI/VOCA is a nonprofit international development organization that delivers technical and management assistance in agribusiness, financial services, enterprise development, community development, and food security to promote broad-based economic growth and vibrant civil societies. ACDI/VOCA has approximately 70 projects in 35 countries and total revenues of approximately $173 million.
We are seeking a D.C.-based Project Coordinator who will be responsible for providing primary support to field projects and contributing information on proposal teams. The Project Coordinator (PC) is expected to perform tasks with more autonomy and may be assigned to projects that are more complex or larger in scope.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide day-to-day project-related support to field offices
• Prepare and process procurement requests and payments
• Draft scopes of work for consultant and volunteer assignments
• Search consultant databases and screen CVs for further review by field staff or supervisor
• Work with HR and field staff to create and update country employee manuals
• Support field staff mobilization and repatriation; prepare and maintain a project budget tracker
• Review and process expense reports; compile and distribute project technical and financial data to complete project reviews
• Assist in project startup and closeout activities
• Participate on proposal development teams
A master’s degree in international development, agriculture, finance, economics, or other related field, with a minimum of two years’ related work experience (overseas work in international development preferred). Additional years of experience in lieu of a master’s degree will be considered. Experience with software applications including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel required (SharePoint, Blackboard Collaborate, Prezi, and other multimedia programs preferred). Excellent oral, written, and reading comprehension abilities essential. Fluency in English required. Strong French language skills required, Spanish language skills a plus. Experience with Title II Development Food Aid Program and/or USAID preferred. The ability to travel internationally is required.
