Technical Learning Coordinator

ACDI/VOCA has approximately 70 projects in 35 countries and total revenues of approximately $173 million.
We are seeking a D.C.-based Technical Learning Coordinator who will be responsible for providing highly proficient primary support to Technical Learning & Application (TLA) activities, generating information, and assisting in the development of organizational and practice area initiatives, with ongoing support of TLA’s governance roles with affiliated financial institutions, participation in project reviews, and development and packaging of tools and approaches.
Responsibilities include:
• Complete letter of assignment requests for consultants as well as board resolutions and related documents for affiliated financial institutions to specifications approved in advance
• Collect approval signatures necessary for authentication, notary, power of attorney, and other form
• Assist with tracking budgets, burn rates, and obligations for expenses related to our affiliated financial institutions
• Maintain official records for our governance functions with affiliated financial institutions
• Maintain and contribute to developing TLA communication tools, including SharePoint, ASPIREglobal, FinData, and our AFI network Yammer site
• Contribute to organizational and practice area improvements by serving on task forces
• Support tool development with research, formatting, editing, and tracking functions
• Facilitate training sessions on technical and operational issues
• Research and generate background reports quickly, tailored to specific needs
• Support TLA specialists with the collation, analysis, and reporting of monitoring and evaluation data
• On proposal development teams, serve as a proposal coordinator; generate and present technical and financial (budgets) information in a compelling format requiring minimal correction; contribute to writing proposal sections for new proposals; support efforts in acquiring business with alternative models
• May be required to travel to projects, engage in the pilot testing of tools, or participate in technical assignments with TLA colleagues
A master’s degree in international development, agriculture, finance, economics, or other related field, with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in international development or related field are required. Candidates must demonstrate excellent oral, written, and reading abilities. Fluency in English is required, French and/or Spanish skills are a plus.
