Chevron Belgium NV is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chevron Corporation and is responsible for the sales and marketing of Texaco Lubricants.
PGPA EU Affairs is responsible for identifying and mitigating the impact of legislation and initiatives from the European Union institutions on business units or the Corporation itself. EU Affairs is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with a number of external stakeholders, including EU officials, embassies, industry groups and civil society.

Key responsibilities are:
- Identifies emerging issues and follows priority issues, particularly climate, energy and maritime policy, through the EU legislative process;
- Engages with external stakeholders (EU institutions, industry associations etc.) involved in the policy agenda with the potential to impact Chevron’s business activities;
- Acts as an internal subject matter expert on EU policy and legislative initiatives;
- Provides briefing materials and support for executives travelling to Brussels.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Working as part of a very small team, must be able to work efficiently, often independently and to tight deadlines. Must be reliable, conscientious and have a good eye for detail;
- Good understanding of the international political environment. Experience within the EU institutions – for example as a stagiaire - is essential;
- Must demonstrate deep experience of EU government affairs and energy policy, ideally upstream (3 years minimum);
- Good research, analytical and superior writing skills to evaluate legislative issues impacting the energy sector are necessary;
- Demonstrate comfort in terms of networking and communicating confidently with a wide range of stakeholders;
- Fluency in English and French is required, additional languages, such as Spanish, are highly desirable;
- Master’s degree is required.
