The Company’s mission is to create clamour for their mobile service solutions by delighting the clients through provision of innovative, quality, timely, relevant, accurate and affordable solutions.

Job Title: Marketing Manager

Reporting To: Director

Role Overview:

To achieve quality business growth for the company within the assigned territory. The responsibilities incorporate marketing and selling PRSP and VAS products to existing and potential customers; The incumbent will implement strategies that will ensure retention of existing customers and generation of additional business from those customers; the incumbent will acquire new customers through prospecting and sales activities.

Summary of Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Growth in business volumes (Bulk SMS, Mobile Contents and Short codes), customers and customer subscriptions.
  • Management of customer expectations and relationships.
  • Carrying out marketing intelligence research and be able to advise the company on potential areas to invest.
  • Attending various company meetings which involves meeting the network services, potential customers and also be able to do business proposals to targeted customers.
Main Activities
  • Develop the PRSP customer base and expand the unit’s business growth through marketing of the PRSP and VAS products and services.
  • Ensure revenue growth through customer acquisition, new need identification, product cross-sell and re-engineering.
  • Conduct initial screening interview with prospective customer and maintain familiarity with customer’s pertinent documents.
  • Ensure that the target market selection criterion is adhered to and that we are in full compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and all regulatory bodies’ requirements.
  • Ensure an effective call program is maintained on all allocated relationships and prospects. The calls should be recorded and filed.
  • Manage customer queries, complaints and other correspondence in a timely manner and within set standards for customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare MIS with brief overview and explanation of variances for assigned portfolio.
  • Assist in identifying customer needs not met by existing products and the implementation of new products and services.
  • Achievement of set revenue targets for the unit by aggressive customer acquisition, efficient product delivery, offering a diverse range of products and excellent customer service.
  • Keep abreast of the rapid pace of product development to be able to sell new products.
Academic Requirements
  • Undergraduate qualifications in Marketing or other similar qualification
  • Certificate qualifications in IT
Technical Skills
  • Computer packages
  • Typing skills
Length of Experience:
  • 3+ years in PRSP or other related service.
  • 1+ years experience and demonstrated success in sales presentations and conversion to business.

  • Interpersonal skills to create and maintain relevant business networks; and to effectively communicate with and manage customer expectations (internal and external), and other stakeholders who impact performance.
  • Relationship management skills to effectively perform Marketing Management activities/tasks in a manner that consistently achieves high quality standards or benchmarks.
  • Sales and negotiation skills to prospect and close business
  • Knowledge of PRSP and VAS products.
  • Knowledge and effective application of all PRSP policies, processes, procedures and guidelines to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks.
  • Self-empowerment to enable development of open communication, teamwork and trust that are needed to support performance and customer-service oriented culture.
  • Networking skills to effectively leverage on relationships that will enhance customer acquisition and retention.
  • Ability to develop and follow a personal work plan for effective time utilization in achieving the objectives of the position.
  • Ability to develop effective customer solutions and proposals that will generate sales opportunities.
