Project Administrator


The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) is looking for an employee to provide an administrative support for the IFJ’s project division; the work will start mid-January 2011 and it is placed at the IFJ’s offices in Brussels. This is a one year contract and could be renewed.

Tasks: the successful candidate will be expected to do the following:

  • General administrative support for the projects’ division including translation from English to Arabic and vice versa;
  • Logistical support for organizing events (meetings, trainings, conferences, seminars) in various locations.


Qualifications:

  • Arabic and English is essential. French is an advantage;
  • Experience in projects implementation and procedures;
  • Familiar with the media seen in the region;
  • Experience in organizing events;
  • Mastering of Microsoft office applications especially Microsoft Excel;
  • Permit to live and work in Belgium.
