Rehabilitation/ Upgrading of Mlandala – Masimba Irrigation Scheme
Invitation for Bids
Date: 31st January, 2011
1. The Iramba District Council has received funds from the Government of Tanzania through District Irrigation Development Fund (DIDF) towards the cost of Rehabilitation/ Upgrading of Mlandala – Masimba Irrigation Schemes, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this fund to cover eligible payments under the contract for rehabilitation/ Upgrading of Mlandala – masimba Schemes.
2. The Iramba District Executive Director now invites sealed bids from eligible national contractors registered in Class Six (6) and above of the Contractor's Registration Board of Tanzania for Rehabilitation/ Upgrading of Mlandala – Masimba Irrigation Schemes which involves lining of main canal with 5,700 sq. m and construction of retaining wall at the head works.
3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering Procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works, non
Construction Services and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Non Consultants, 2005 – Government Notice No. 97 and are pen to national Bidders only as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Bid Data Sheet.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the Office of the Secretary of the District Tender Board (DTB); Iramba District Council, and P. O. Box155 Kiomboi, (Telephone: 026-2503001, Fax 026 – 2502253) – Kiomboi – Singida Tanzania from
7:30am on Monday to Friday inclusive except on public holidays
5. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and Additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission written application
to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of non – refundable fee of Tshs, 50,000.00 Payment should either be cash,
Banker's Cheque, Payable to District Executive Director-Iramba.
6. All bids must be accompanied by a bid securing declaration in the format provided in the Bidding documents.
7. All bids in one original plus two copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in Plain envelopes must be delivered to the address below at or before 10:00 am local time on 07th March, 2011, Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidder's representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Iramba District Council Hall.
8. Late bids, portion of bids, electronic bids, bid not received, not opening and read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance.
